Gobi's Desert Fun

This is the first game that I had originally started about 9 years ago to try out and begin game development, and for my friends to play. It was mainly a proof of concept that I, over time, added to and tried new, basic ideas out on, as well as testing code in GameMaker. Obviously, this was never supposed to be taken seriously.

His name is Gobi and his entire goal is to get to the oasis at the end of each level. There are a total of 70 levels that were designed and tested that made it in to the final iteration. Every 10 levels, there is a checkpoint for respawning.

Use the left and right arrow keys to move and Spacebar to jump. Avoid the cacti, holes, anatomically incorrect scorpions, slightly more anatomically correct vultures, and camels >:(
